Painting the majestic Red Rocks is a challenge, but I found a lovely spot, on a trail which runs lose to the Oak Creek. Best time to paint at Slide Rock is form 10 to 1:00...the shadows are so much more dramatic, and atmosphere sets in at the tops of the buttes.....
