Schooner, Backlit
This is a portrait of the Schooner 'When and If' commissioned by General George S Patton, built in 1939. His intention was to sail her around the world with his wife Bea when the war was over and if he survived.

It is a watercolour painting on watercolour paper that has been mounted on a gatorfoam panel and varnished, allowing framing without glass.
