Micaela Picking Flowers

Oil on linen. Micaela was picking a pebble from the ground and examining it. I was immediately drawn to her natural pose that so eloquently captured a child's curiosity in nature. That coupled with the warm sunlight streaming through her hair made her seem angelic and enthralled in thought. I decided however, to put Micaela in a field of flowers for a better design.
