Anchored 2020

When I first started this painting with my initial idea, I was drawn to the rising fog in the morning. I loved that I couldn't tell where the sky stopped and the water began. I used my plein air sketch to inform my studio painting and started this around the same time the lockdowns began and this is where the meaning began to switch for me. I was now painting to world as we all became "anchored"
