A day spent at the Flume, Adirondacks, was filled with beautiful sounds and images. Having painted the St Regis Falls the previous day, during the Adirondacks Paintout 2019, I was looking for a spot to observe the Flume from a distance. I found this place where I could still hear the roar of the Falls but was looking on a deeper side of the stream that made the water linger on quietly, swirling around the colorful ageless rocks, emphasizing the stillness one experiences when out in deep Nature. The painting resulted from a small 9”x12” plein air study done in Oils.
