Springtime Reading Chair - plein air

During our 'safer at home' period I took my daughters reading chair outside and placed it under the apple tree in our backyard. This is the second plein air painting I have done of the chair under the tree...the other one I did this winter. This 36x30 plein air work was made over the course of several sessions...it was my morning painting and another of my entries (Before They Are Cut) was my afternoon painting. After painting I sat and rested in the chair, it was so beautiful and fragrant under the tree...I wished everyone in the whole world could sit in this chair and rest. This painting is a respite, inviting everyone to rest and seek peace.
