Making this little 'sur le motif' painting touched my heart. The wild ginger is one of the first thing up in our backyard garden. It was just the beginning of Covid and I went into the backyard and dug up a small patch to paint. I included a post-it note and a safety pin to remind myself that there is beauty all around us in the everyday things and the extraordinary.
