Around the Bend and Over the Hill

Walking down a road that had some farm harvesting trucks going to clean up the fields after harvest, I saw where they disappeared over the hill. Then the area became quiet, leaving me with a scene that a few moments before was full of activity. The bright sun was shaded by trees on either side of the road, casting their shadows across it. The road beckoned me to come...but instead, I stayed and painted the road's invitation.
