“Sedona Chapel” was painted in soft pastel on UArt paper. This tiny chapel resides in a recreation of a Mexican village in Sedona, Arizona. I have painted it en plein air, and taken several photographs of it from various angles on multiple occasions. This particular day, I found the structure and its surroundings bathed in afternoon light, and I knew I had to try to capture the sense of peacefulness and hope that I was feeling.
