Neighbors

Oil on canvas completed on location over several sittings. This painting was a real stretch for me as an artist. The composition changed quiet a bit from the beginning to end. On the last day of trying to get it right figures were present in the scene. I took a major chance by putting people in the painting but I believe it payed off. I actually had the fisherman in the middle pose like that for 10 minutes or so so I could get the gesture correct.
