Tree on a Rock

Oil on canvas, painted over two sittings along a windy cliff in the late afternoon. It's a scene I've past many times before but on this particular day it was as if that tree was teasing me on that rock. I like to imagine what this painting might be like if it weren't for that cute little tree perched on that beautiful rock.
