"An Italian in Paris"

"An Italian in Paris" is an oil painting painted on an 11"x14" gesso panel. My inspiration for this piece was based on when I was living in Paris France in the winter. It was a rather gray winter day and while I was walking back to my car this bright little red car caught my eye, stopped me in my tracks. And at this same moment the couple shown in my painting were looking at the car had the same reaction. This beautiful little vintage red Fiat 500 really stood out in all the grayness around us and made us all smile. I took both an actual photo snapshot at that time and kept a mental snapshot in my mind to remember this magical moment knowing I would paint this some day to capture this moment and share it with others!
