I visited a Farmer's Market with my camera, hoping to capture the colorful produce and environment for a painting I had in mind. The father-daughter duo in this scene totally captivated me and I couldn't help but make them the focus of my painting. The little girl's pink boots made me giggle as I imagined her insisting on wearing them, though the day was sunny and warm, "But it might rain, Daddy." I loved witnessing and tried to capture the obvious relaxed and loving bond these two had as they visited each market stall and each chose their favorite fruits and vegetables, on a beautiful California morning. 16"x20", oil, on stretched canvas.
