The Reason

"The Reason" is a tribute to teachers. As a parent and soon-to-retire teacher, I have witnessed and experienced the boundless love teachers have for their students, the creative ways teachers found to reach students during COVID isolation, and the constant encouragement and support they give to students. The young boy in this painting, seated in an old-fashioned school desk, peacefully reading, football at his feet ready for recess, represents 'the reason' we teachers do what we do. Each student deserves to learn, be appreciated, and be nurtured along the way. Teachers have done this in classrooms across the United States for over 100 years. Well done, and thank you, Teachers!
