By the Pond

The light on these birch trees caught my eye as I was scoping out the pond at our local Wildlife Sanctuary. I wandered around a bit more, looking for a place to paint en plein air, but kept coming back to these trees. They were perfectly situated at the edge of the pond, where the morning sky reflected boldly. The soft spring colors of the foliage and the ground complemented the birches.
